About us

wedowe is a global community advancing dowes that improve the WORLD. Many dowes at a time.

We are a positive movement focussing on realizing as many dowes as we can with a measurable social impact. Made possible by the people who want to change the world. Even by the ones who don’t know this yet.

People can add value in many ways to changing the world. doweers, weers, ambassadors, supporters, all have one thing in common: they all feel good when they change the world around them in a positive way. Because they find it important, because they feel responsible or because they're enjoying feeling those positive goosebumps.

You want that this dowe comes to fruition. It has to be experienced, seen, felt, tasted or simply be put in action. It's something that "Has" to be done. And if you don't know what dowe to start yet, you can always find a way to contribute to other dowes of the community. Whether you share your expertise to make a specific dowe advance, refer to someone who might help or just tweet about it, like it or share it. We do it for we, together. That is why we say: wedowe!

What do you mean with dowe?

A dowe is project with a measurable social impact. A dowe is interpreted as a project that advances our world further. As such, dowes include projects of a wide range of areas including arts, technology, sustainability, community development, and more. Many doWEs are novel or experimental, and evoke surprise and delight. dowes sometimes challenge and often inspire.

Browse through some of our dowes to see what we mean.

Does anyone else know about this?

We've had lots of great media coverage since our humble beginnings in 2014. Some of our favourite pieces have been from Kichaka, E52, Radio1, Cursor (page 22/23) and Communicatiedier.

How does it all work? When will I hear back?
